Dance, Health & Well-Being Before Everything

The foundation of our studio combines the physical with the inner emotional and spiritual journey. By integrating body, breath, movement, and meditative awareness, we promote awareness of the interdependency of all these aspects in personal health and wellbeing. At Yaga Retreat, we use our extensive training and in-depth understanding of the human body and psyche to teach and cultivate awareness of one’s own practice and life process.


Classes We Offer

Dance - Zumba

Monday 8:00pm

Fun, easy dance moves incorporating fitness variations to all the latest greatest songs and some classics.

Dance - America

Tuesday 8:00pm

A diverse continent, The Americas reflect distinctive styles that show indigenous, African and European influences in their dance styles. North America boasts  an array of diverse styles including hip-hop, tap dance, swing, jazz and contemporary or lyrical dance but to name a few. While Mid and South America is known for its vibrant mix of styles where we see the likes of salsa-Cuba, Samba- Brazil, Tango-Argentina and Cumbia-Columbia. This is just an example of many dances that shine throughout The Americas.

Dance - Asia

Thursday 8:00pm

This category extends from the middle-east right across to China and Malaysia. Difficult to describe in a few words due to the magical display of so many diverse dance styles, this region of the globe offers spice, colour and spiritually intricate journeys within the dance world, where we see boundless beauty and grace in such dances as Bellydance- Egypt/Turkey, Butoh-Japan, Kathak- India and Khon- Thailand.

Dance - Contemporary

Sunday 12:00pm

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres. In this dance class, we strive to connect the mind and the body, through explorative exercises to settle in to the body, moving into technique and phrases. Open Level Class.
